Geometrical deviation of end-of-life parts as a consequence of reshaping by single point incremental forming

Abstract Putting in place circular economy strategies is an urgent challenge to face. In this scenario, manufacturing processes play a relevant role as efficient material reuse enabler. Scientists have make effort either find new process or rethink old reprocess end-of-life (EoL) component recover both and functions. paper, single point incremental forming (SPIF) used for reshaping sheet metal EoL components. The entire chain was replicated including deep drawing (to imitate the component) well SPIF operations obtain reshaped components). geometrical deviation consequence of studied; two different directions (named inwards outwards) were analyzed.
